  1. The Educational School Speech that president Barack Obama gave about our education was very insteresting watching it and reading it. He mainly talked about what is expected of us this school year......Responsibility. This speech is about how Barack Obama encourages us to stay in school and LEARN! Not to waste our time waching T.V or playing on the Xbox, while we could be reading a book or writing a story. We will never achieve our dreams if we dont finish the science, english, math or social studies homework/project that was giving to us. Overall, this speech was about the benefits of going to school, the consequences of not going to school and what we can get for America when every student goes to school and does what is expected from them.
The three most important words in this speech are 1. Education 2. School and 3. Responsibility. Eduacation is very important, it plans everything in your life. Education is your key to succssess. From a scale to 1-10,this word would be a 9. School is your gate to succssess, without school, education is worth nothing. That's why school is a 9 too. Responsibility is the most important. It gives you the education and the education give you school. Responsibility is the center of your education, you should always have it in yourself. Responsibility is a defenite 10!
Today, our lives are not as secure as they were even a fewyears ago. The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 surely changed our lives forever, but many other facets of our lives today foreshadow changes today and in the future. The Challenges of my generation are my focusing skills. I need to improve in my focusing skills to keep my generation going. I intend to daydream in class a few times. Another challenge is my reading skill. I do not like to read alot, but I do read. This is a challenge I need to overcome to keep my generation going, and especially to keep my education perfect. These are the challenges in my generation.

This Speech every student in America should stop and listen to.

  2. Barack’s speech was interesting to see he wanted the children not to skip school or disobey the teachers; he want’s us to get to school and learn!
Barack Obama was making a speech about how children around the country should worry about their education; we should be responsible for ourselves. His speech was about staying and learning in school, he wants us to learn from our mistakes and not waste our time playing or watching T.V. The thesis of the speech was about the benefits and what would happen if you didn’t go to school.
The three most important words in the speech was 1. Education 2. School 3. And responsibility, for education I would rank it as a 10 because without education then the world would be a disaster; we couldn’t organize the amount of money for things that keeps us alive. For school I would rank it a 10, because without school their’s no education. For responsibility it would be a 10 also, because without it you would be poor, you couldn’t survive, you need to take action for yourself, and maybe you will have success! What I believe my challenges in my generation will be is reading, I don’t like to read, but I force myself to because that is part of education. Also I need to work on public speaking, if I want to become a lawyer or mayor or the president then I need to improve my public speaking, like Obama said, you need to ask for help, talk and learn from my mistakes. With that I will have success and when I go to college I would have a great job and work up to be what I want to be!
Barack Obama inspired me again to go to school again and I feel so excited, learning new things, facing obstacles and problems about work that I never knew about, I feel like bursting out! Anyways, I will continue to learn and I will do what Obama says which I’ve always done, I might have maken mistakes in the past, but in time my mistakes could become accomplishments.

  3. Barack Obama’s speech was very interesting. Obama mainly talks about how responsibility works for all of us. Our teachers have responsibilities to teach us and inspire us to learn. Our parents have responsibilities to make sure kids stay on track and control our life. While kids are playing games, they could use that time to read and write instead of doing something that doesn’t improve you at all. Instead of playing games, why not do something that benefits you? I can’t think of a reason that reading or writing that doesn’t benefit us. He really wanted to see us kids, to succeed in school. No, that is wrong. Not only succeeding in schools, but to succeed in our own dreams as well! Our parents and family would also like to see us succeed.
There are many main important words and points in the speech. Bu t if you ask me which 3 words are most important, I will say that responsibility, destiny, and succeed is most important. Responsibility is always important. All humans have responsibilities on their side. When my mom tells me to teach my cousin to do homework, it is my responsibility to teach him and fix him. When my teacher gives me homework, it is my responsibility to complete it. The words like: “I forgot.” “I lost it.” “My dog ate it.” is not an excuse. If you forgot, you can write it in a planner or something to remember. If your dog ate it or if you lost it, you should’ve placed it somewhere that is safe and where you remember it. The word “destiny” really went into my heart. There is no destiny written for you. Nobody can predict the future. Neither me nor anyone else, but I am the only who can write and change my destiny. Nobody else can. Succeeding is also very important. That word is the final step for our life. First we must begin our life. Then we have to work hard. If I don’t work hard, I will never succeed and same goes for everyone in the world. I have never seen someone very lazy and sloppy ever succeeded. But I have seen many people who have worked hard reached to their goals. Obama wants everyone to succeed. I think many people want themselves to succeed, including me, so we will have to work to succeed.
When I was about 7, I have no goals. Even if I do, I only think about getting the newest games and getting new toys. But now, I felt like I changed. I no longer care about those baby toys. I almost trashed them all out or gave them to my little cousin. My goals now is to finished my years of school, and complete what I think are important. People always have goals and dreams. But during my working process, I met up many challenges. I overcame many challenges, but without my teachers or my family as a support, I wouldn’t be able to. My challenge is my horrible reading skills. I actually don’t like reading so I always get a 2 on my report card for reading while I was in elementary school. I had to take extra reading lessons, but as time passes, my reading skills did improve from a 2 to a 3, but still not enough to satisfy me. I will try my best now to get my 3 into a perfect 4! That is my dream and my goal for now. If I need help, my backups are teachers and parents!

  4. The speech that Barack Obama gave is very interesting. Barack Obama talks mainly about the responsibilities that everyone has. The teacher’s responsibilities are to inspire the kids (us) to learn. The parent’s responsibilities are to keep the kids to stay on track. Our responsibilities are to not to play games 24/7 but to use some of that time to study for school, read, and write. He said you can do anything like for example find a cure for cancer, and AIDS but you’ll never know unless you do your work in school and not drop out. If you think you can take an easy and become a basketball, baseball, or any sport player the chances are against you. Studying for school, reading, and writing all benefit you studying for school will get you better grades, reading will improve your language arts and writing will improve your spelling.
The word that got ranked first is Education because if you have no Education you won’t be able to plan your life out. Education is a big part of your life. The word that got ranked second is Responsibility because if you aren’t responsible you might never get anything done. For example, if you don’t do homework on one day and push it off to tomorrow, you’ll just keep doing that and then when the homework is due the next day you’ll rush it and get a bad grade most of the time. The word that got ranked third is School because if you don’t go to school you won’t make as many friends as you would if you did From scales from 1 to 10 I’d say Education and Responsibilities are 10, and school is a 9. The world today is not as safe as it use to be like with the swine flu and the 9/11 terrorist attack. I think the biggest challenges we have in this generation is to make everyone feel safe in this world and more people should be able to get education because everyone deserves at least one chance in life. Barack Obama has inspired me to try my best in school and not push everything off to tomorrow because I can do it early than get it checked and redo a better one that way I can get a better grades.

  5. The thesis of this speech is education. The speech president Barack Obama gave was about our education and how we have to work hard in school to try to get the best grades. You won’t just land in a good job without working. You have to work hard to get in to that good job. President Obama said that by the end of the day we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, and the best schools. But it won’t matter unless we show up to these schools, unless we pay attention to those teachers, and unless we listen to our parents and other adults.
The three most important words in this speech are responsibility, education, and success. From 1-5, I rank responsibility a 5. It’s our responsibility to pay attention in school, to get our homework and projects done by the due date, and to work hard to get the best grades. From 1-5, I ranked education a 4. We have to get the most out of the education our school can provide us. We need to get a good education to learn new things or to get good grades in school. I ranked success, a 4 out of a 5. Success is what we’re trying to get. You can’t just become successful with a snap of your fingers. You have to try again and again; even if you fail to become successful you keep on trying. Just like you have to write a couple of drafts until it is good enough to give to your teacher.
The challenges of our generation are the economical crisis. Before the economical crisis was very bad some businesses shut down, many people lost their jobs, and the stock market went straight down. Now its getting better the stock market is going up but lots of people are still losing their jobs. Also the flu that is going around if we get sick we’re going to have to stay home from school for a while. That’s why President Obama said wash your hands from time to time. We have to try to go to school because we are the future of America!

  6. The thesis of President Obama’s speech was that you should never give up and try your hardest, that no matter what you want to do with your life, you’ll need a good education to do it. And although it’s our government's responsibility to set high standards, support teachers and principals, and turn around schools that aren't working, where students aren't getting the opportunities that they deserve, when it comes down to it, it‘s up to us, the students. We can have the most dedicated teachers, and the best schools, but it won’t matter if we don’t pay attention in class, and do our homework and be the best students we can be. As President Obama said, “What we make of our education will decide nothing less than the future of this country.”
The three most important words in Presidents Obama’s speech, in numerical order, were try, education, and responsibility. Try is the most important because in order to find medicine and vaccines to cure cancer and AIDS, develop new energy technologies to protect our environment, and fight poverty, crime, discrimination, and homelessness we’ll need to try. We won’t be able to able to get everything right the first time, but we can’t give up, because when we give up on ourselves, we give up in our country. Our mistakes make us stronger, not weaker. Some of the most successful people in the world are the ones who have had the most failures. Education is the second most important because no matter what you want to do with your life, you can’t do it without an education. “You can’t drop out of school and just drop into a good job. You've got to train for it and work for it and learn for it.” The last word is responsibility. We are responsible for ourselves, our education, and our country. You get what you give, so if you don’t try and work hard, you’re not going to get anything back. If we choose to not learn and try then we choose to fail.
I believe that the challenges of my generation are to figure out how to put a stop to, or at least abate, global warming and get the economy back up. In order to stop global warming, we must know what it is. We have to do research, and work together to restore planet Earth. To boost the economy, we must again work together to provide more jobs for millions of Americans.

  7. The thesis of President Obama’s speech was that everyone should try there hardest in school and don’t give up. He expects us to stay in school and do everything we can to get a good education. If we don’t get a good education now, we can’t get into good colleges and get good jobs. Obama wants every student working hard and trying our best not to play video games and watch television instead of studying or reading. Most importantly, he wants us to learn! He wants to make sure we are doing the right things in our lives now so if we do want those great jobs like nurses, lawyers and policemen, we can get those jobs. You might not know how important your education is now, but it is a really big thing when you grow up and want a great career.
The three most important words in President Obama’s speech are education, responsibility, and school. I ranked education first because without it you might not be able to do all these great things you want to do when your older. If you want to become a pediatrician and you don’t get the right education then you won’t become a pediatrician.
I ranked responsibility second because it’s not as important as education but it is still really important. If you are not responsible you might hand in your work on time which will deduct points off your grade. When all your grades are averaged together they might not be high grades because they were late or you forgot a part of your project. That’s why responsibility is important. Also, if you do become a doctor and they ask you to do something and you forget what they say, that be really bad. Finally, I ranked school last because if you don’t pick the right schools you might not get the same opportunities as other schools have.
I believe that a challenge of our generation is the economy. Right now the economy is not going well. There are not a lot of job opportunities out now. Also without money some people don’t have insurance and healthcare. Although we are only children, when we grow up if the economy stays the way it is, we can have a hard time finding a job. Also, it can effect us now because if our parents aren’t getting enough money, we might not be able to get everything we want or need. Obama’s speech was very persuading to me and I hope to others as well.

  8. President Barack Obama’s back to school speech was very interesting and important. The thesis of the speech was mainly about how all of the children from Kindergarten to twelfth grade should not drop out of school. President Obama demonstrates that if we do not try our very best and succeed in school, we will not be successful in life. Meaning- we won’t get into a good college, and that means we will not get a good job or the job that we want. If we don’t start getting educated now, then it can affect our whole entire future. It seems like a lot, but it really isn’t. We should all be motivated to do well and get far in life. Education is everything. If you spend your days watching television, or playing video games, over reading a book, doing homework, studying, or even writing a story, then that is the first step on the wrong path. Everyone has to try their best. That’s all we can do. Nobody asks for any more than your best. This quote might have some meaning to you:
“Never settle for less than your best.”
The three most important words in this speech are:
    1. Education
    2. Future
    3. Responsibility

    (1 being the most important)

Education is the most important word in President Obama’s speech because education is what gets you places in life. If you are not educated, you may get turned down for a college that you wanted to attend, or even worse, you may not ever get a job you want. You must be educated to be successful. Education is the key to success. Future is the next important word because your education depends on your future. The word “future” may not seem very important, but it is. The future is your future, and America’s future. Your future is what job you get, what college you attend, and America’s future is the future for this country. America’s future will not be a good one if we don’t all get educated. Nobody will have a good future if you drop out of school. Your future and America’s future both depend on you. Finally, the third most important word is responsibility. This word ties in both the words education and future. You have a responsibility to get a good education. You are also held responsible for your future. If you don’t take responsibility, then you won’t get anywhere in your education or in the future.
I believe that there are many challenges of our generation, but these are the ones that affect us everyday. The first challenge is being safe. After September 11, 2001 when a part of America was lost, our lives were changed forever. There have been many more terrorist threats and more events have taken place all over the world. We all need to be safe, and that can be very hard. You never know when something devastating like September 11 can happen again. Another challenge is staying true to yourself. A lot of the time, you will be put under peer pressure to do things such as drugs, alcohol, and smoking. Some people might say “Do this if you want to be cool like us.” Or, “Come on. It can’t hurt if you only do it once.” Even if it tempts you, you must listen to your heart and stay true to yourself. Doing these things can create a bad future for you, and even a bad future for America. These things are definitely challenges of our generation. We need to do our best to be safe and stay true to ourselves.
President Obama’s speech was very important and everyone should watch it or read it.

  9. 1. The thesis of this speech is to stay in school. He also mentions to try your best. He says the most important people in your life are your parents to support you, and that the only way you will be successful is if you do the English paper, or do your science fair project, or cure diseases.
The president also says that he knows how we feel, and he says that it’s okay to fail at first. You need to learn from those mistakes. The people that succeed today are the ones that had the most faliures. He tells us that if we give up on ourselves, we give up on our country, and if we keep striving, we can achieve our goals, and one of us can become the next president, or the next CEO of Google.
The president also explained that we are all good at something in life, and you won’t discover that unless you try. he told us that his mother made him wake up at 4am to do his homework, and that’s what made him what he is today.
    2. Parents is an important word because without our parents we wouldn’t exist. Our parents are there to support us in everything we do. Yes, we may get into trouble with the every now and then, but our parents will always love us and be there when we’re crying, laughing, and smiling.
Teachers is an important word too because we can’t learn if there are no teachers to teach us. When they give us a test to study for, prior to studying they will go through a review with you because they want you to do the best on the test. No matter how mean you say a certain teacher is, it won’t change anything. Maybe you think a teacher is mean because you’re not working hard enough in that class, or the teacher of that subject is not your favorite subject. If you work harder in that subject, everything will turn out okay.
School is also a very important word becuase without it the human race would be nowhere. Without it, the guy who invented the car wouldn’t even know about a wheel and axle, and the guy who invented cable television would be homeless. Or the guy who made the first vaccine wouldn’t even know what the common cold is. We’d still be in the Stone Age, living like cavemen.
    3. I believe our current challenges are the economy. The economy is in bad shape right now and we have to do all we can to fix it. Lots and lots of businesses are closing down, and if new one opens up, it doesn’t last long. People are losing their jobs and homes and not yet sold homes are going into foreclosure.
Our next current challenge is health. Lots of people are obese these days, many of them children. Plus the swine flu is going to strike back soon and many people will get sick, and lots of people will also die from the disease. Medical experts have developed a vaccine. Let’s hope everyone can get it.
Another problem is racism. I think racism is out of hand. Even heath care is turning racist. On one side there are professional doctors, the others side is getting trainees, and someone should fix that. I am glad Obama is president so maybe he will restore order to the country.

  10. The thesis of President Barack Obama’s speech is that education is the key to reaching your goals in life and succeeding. Each and every student is responsible for their own education. Even if you have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools, only you can succeed in life. If you try your best and study hard, you can discover many things and unlock many opportunities in life and you can become successful. As President Obama has stated, “Where you are right now doesn't have to determine where you'll end up. No one's written your destiny for you, because here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future.”
The three most important words in this speech are responsibility, goals, and education. Responsibility is the most important word throughout this whole speech because you have to be responsible in order to get where you want to be. You always have responsibilities to fulfill as a student, such as getting to school on time, handing in your reports on time, studying hard, and paying attention in class. Whether you choose to fulfill your responsibilities is up to you. Responsibility is the key to succeeding in life. The next most important word is goals. To have a bright future, you must work hard to meet your goals in life. You will encounter many difficulties during your education, and you must overcome many of those difficulties to accomplish all your goals. Goals may help you determine what you will become in life. Education is the third most important word throughout this whole speech. Without education, you will not get the job you choose and your future will not be bright. If you choose to drop out or be careless of your education, you won’t be able to reach your goals in life and you will not have any opportunities. Without an education, you will not be able to become successful.
One of the challenges of my generation is not having a safe environment to study in. Since September 11, 2001, the world has been living in fear of what might happen tomorrow. The government should ensure safer environments for children. If everybody in the world felt safe, it would improve students’ study habits and focusing skills. Another challenge of my generation is peer pressure. Most of the time, children get talked into doing things they don’t want to do. They give in to their friends because they think they believe that if they do what their “friends” are doing, which could be smoking or stealing, will make them cool enough and that they will have more friends. Children in my generation need to stand up for themselves more often and have their own integrity and beliefs.
President Barack Obama's speech is very important and can affect our futures. I suggest that every student in worldwide tries hard to succeed in life.

  11. The thesis of this speech is our education and what's expected of us in this new school year. Such as good grades, high tests scores, and main taining an average of 85 or above.
The first most important word that I think is in this speech is education. The reason why I thought why Education was an important word in this speech is because it is what he is talking about during the whole speech. Plus it is very important to talk about education because with out it we would not be as smart or get a good job when we are older. The second most important word in this speech would be Responsibility. The reason why I chose responsibility for the second most important word in this speech is because we need to have responsibility for this school year. We would need responsibility especially in college, High school, and seventh, and eighth grade. We need to be responsible for tests, projects, and keeping up our grades.
The third most important word I chose for this speech was Government. I chose government as the third most important word because with out us having a government we would be in war after war. We would be running around like crazy people, and we would have no laws, or police officers. If we didn’t have our government our country would fall apart.
The challenges of my generation are keeping up our grades, studying hard for tests, focusing on school more than our social life’s, and getting to bed early not eleven or twelve o’clock. Other challenges are trying to do your best if you are under the pressure of your parents, or even if you have a tight schedule. If we have a lot of projects due almost at the same time, that is very difficult. Even thought we have these challenges we should all try our hardest to do our best.

  13. The Speech about school education that president Obama gave about our education was very intriguing in both watching it and reading it. He mainly talked about our Responsibility for this new school year.
This speech is about Barack Obama and how he encourages the children of our generation to stay in school, learn, and not waste time watching T.V or playing Xbox. President Obama also said something very important that I might remember up until collage, he said, “We will never achieve our dreams if we don’t finish school and the work that was assigned to us”. For the most part, this speech was about the benefits of going to school, the consequences of not going to school (such as not having a good job and not living up to our potential, and what we can do for America when every student goes to school and does what’s expected from them.

The 3 most important words in this speech are:

    1. Education- because if you have no Education you won’t be able to get a good job or plan your life and education is a big part of your life (most important of all).
    2. Responsibly- because if you aren’t responsible you might never get anything done. For example, if you don’t do your project for school and just push it off until tomorrow and when it’s due the next day you will just hurry and get a bad grade. (2nd most important)
    3. Future- because your future is a big part of your whole life, if you don’t focus on your future it might turn out how you wanted it and you will be disappointed in yourself. (3rd most important)

It is no surprise to anyone that technology improves constantly if you don’t believe me I’ll e-mail you or call you on my cell phone. The challenge is that technology requires education for use, safe application, and improvement. One side effect of applied technology is that more babies will live and adults will live longer. As a result the population of the world increases constantly. We will either use new technology to help us control the problems that come with increased population like, not enough food or using up natural recourses or we will cease to exist.

The thesis of the speech was to encourage kids to stay in school. If you quit school you not only quit on yourself you quit on your country. Obama wants us to find our talent. School can help us find our talent. We can have the best teachers and the most supportive parents and it doesn’t matter. We have to listen to our teachers and put the in so we can succeed. That is our responsibility.
The three most important words of the speech are education, responsibility, and the future. The third most important is the future. The future is determined by the way you pay attention, how well you want to study, and how much hard work you put into an assignment. If you drop out of school you will not only ruin yourself but you will also ruin America. The second most important word is responsibility. We are all responsible to get a good education if we fulfill our responsibilities we will have a pleasant future. The most important word is education. If you listen to your teachers and you will get a better education. The better you are educated, the better your life and the country can be.
The main challenge of my generation is global warming. I believe that I and everybody in my generation can save the earth. People have found ways to slow it down. My generation will stop it.

  15. The thesis of Obama’s speech is that there is no reason to drop out of school. He said that we need help in this country. That we need more doctors, scientists, lawyers. The most important thing he said is that each and every one of us is capable of something. Each and every one of us has something we are good at, and it’s not playing video games or on the computer. If we improve our talent, we could improve our country.
The three most important words in Obama’s speech are; education, school, and, improvement. Education, because we must train or learn to do something good to make a difference. Out of five stars, I give it all five. School is important because it is our educational center. Without school, we can’t learn. On a scale of five stars, it deserves a four. Improvement is another important issue because without us improving the nation, we cannot get anything new to work. No new inventions can be made. Improvement deserves five stars.
The challenges in our generations are health issues, economy issues, and mostly global warming. Global warming is a serious threat to the nation. We need to make several good choices, or in ten or twenty years, our future could be lost. We’re just kids, but together, we can accomplish anything we put our mind to.

  16. This speech was about children and why they need to stay in school. One of the things that president Obama said that “ I’ve talked a lot about your parents responsibility for making sure you stay on track, and you get your homework done, and don’t spend every waking hour in front of the TV or with the xbox.” I understand what he means about parents needing to be responsible and making sure that your child does their homework because I know that I would rather watch TV instead of do my homework.
The three most important words in this speech to me are responsibility, education, and jobs. Responsibility was an important word because in this time and age you have to be responsible and on top of things to succeed in life. Education was one of the most important words because it is imperishable. You need it throughout life and once you have the education you can’t lose it. Even when you perish it does not. President Obama was trying to say that education is the backbone of your life so obtain it. Jobs are another special word because in this bad economy the unemployment rate is at all time highs. This is not good news for the people who have children to take care of. That’s a whole other burden on parents’ shoulders between the school supplies, clothing, and shoes. So here is my question to president Obama, what are you going to do to get jobs to parents especially single parents.
I believe that the challenges of our generation are the expectations of us. I think that the expectations are pretty high. The president said that “if you quit on school – you’re not just quitting on yourself, you’re quitting on your country. I don’t think that anyone would like to quit on their country. 17. President Barack Obama gave a really interesting and fascinating speech about what the future of kids would be like. The thesis is “everyone’s responsibility for their own education.” Teachers are supposed to inspire kids and push them to learn. Parents are supposed to watch their kids. They shouldn’t be playing video games or watching TV for the whole day without doing work that is related to school. President Obama tells you things about what your career can be in the future but you must go to school and learn before you can do that. If you don’t help solve everybody’s problem, you aren’t just quitting on yourself but you are also quitting on your country.
The most important words are responsibility, education, and school. If I were to rank them responsibility would be 10, education and school would be 9. We should set our own goals for our education. We don’t want to give up and don’t reach for our goals because everybody can succeed in their goals. People like Michael Jordan say when they make mistakes, they actually mean they succeed. President Obama wants everybody to do well in school so everybody can help out the world.
I think the challenges for our next generation are work hard, reach for their goals, and help out the community. Try your best and the world would be safe again but if you don’t try your best the future might be endanger.

  18. Barack Obama’s Presidential Pep Talk was extremely inspiring. Everyday I thank God for blessing me with wonderful parents that encourage me, supports me, loves me, and inspires me. I am taught that I can be and I can do whatever I put my mind too. Obama’s speech reinforced what my parent’s tell me. I hope Obama’s speech can bless children that are not as fortunate as me. The thesis of this speech was education. How to persevere, achieve and how education can help you succeed in life is the message that I received from his speech.
Education, Responsibility and Future are the three most important words in the speech. I believe that each one of them rank equal because you need them all to make it in this world. Obama is trying to teach us that the future of America is in our hands, so how can we take on the future of America without being educated or responsible. Our education level, the responsibility we take determines our future. That’s why all three share the same value to me.
I believe that the challenges of my generation are teenage pregnancy, guns, gang violence, terrorists, HIV/AIDS, lack of education and confidence. We are faced with so many challenges in this generation and I pray one day that we can live in a safer and healthier world.

  19. What I think is the thesis of the speech is that the education is important and you’re supposed to go to school. The reason I think the thesis of the speech is education is because he mainly talked about doing your best at school. He also mentioned that you shouldn’t drop out of school and try to accomplish more and more. That is what I think is the thesis of the speech.
What I think is the three most important words are:
    1. Responsibility- The reason I think responsibility was an important word in the speech is because President Obama was talking about how the adults in our life took responsibility and now we have to take responsibility doing work and trying hard.
    2. Hard work- Hard work is another important word because President Obama said that every adult tried hard to get the school you need to get educated. So now we should try hard to do our best in school. He also doesn’t matter if the school is the best or if the teachers are good unless you are trying.
    3. Future- Future is the third most important word because President Obama talked about having a good future is by getting a good education. He says if we don’t try are best and drop out we won’t get a good job like that. If we try are best and don’t drop out we will get a better job.
What I believe the challenge of our generation is that people are much rather into TV and games that they forgot to do their homework or some of it. Instead they don’t try and find something to do they play on the computer. New electronics and old one are distracting them from what they are supposed to do. That is what I believe is the challenge of this generation.

  20. The thesis of president Obama’s speech to students was to stay in school, and to get a good education for the future. This speech was important to him because he has two children of his own. Also, America is in a bad situation right now, and if this generation grows up ready for life, maybe everything may fall back into place. President Obama also urged students to overcome challenges in school, and he pointed out that many successful people also had some trouble getting to where they are today.
President Obama used some deep words in his speech. He used the word “responsibility” which is the most important word of the speech, to show students that it’s up to them to get their education from school. The next words were also deep, they represent the benefits of what students will achieve in school, and those words are “at the end of the day.” The next word is important because it means what you’ll do in the future, and what will happen of you, and that word is “destiny”.
I believe that the challenges of our generation are that we spend too much time socializing, especially when there are so many ways of doing so. Other challenges are that we don’t understand that we are expected to do so many things in so little time.

  21. My thesis on Barack Obamas speech is that he is right anyone can have a promising future , but you have to work for it. If you succeed you can achieve. Working isn't boring unless you find a common interest.

To me there were many words that were important in this presidential speech ,but to me the third most important one was focus , the second was education and the most important word was future because you need to be focused and have a good education to have a bright future. To me i think a challenge in our generation would be the lack of focusing on school work how and how we are affecting the future for ourselves.

  22. The speech Barack Obama gave was quite interesting. The speech was about how each of us has our own responsibility. The teachers we have, their responsibility is to teach us and make us want to learn. Our parents’ responsibilities are to check our homework and stay on task. If you want a good career you need to learn about it. For example Barack Obama said ‘You might want to be a good writer but you might not know about it unless you hand that English paper ’. The career you need might need an education. Another example you might want to be a doctor and cure diseases but you need math and science. Obama doesn’t want you to drop out of school and wants you to pay attention in class. You can’t just drop out of school and get a good job. No one is born being good at all things. You do hard work to be good at it. When you do something you’re not good at it the first time. The words that are the most important are responsibility, education, and school. The first one of the most important words is responsibility. That word is the most important because it’s your responsibility to do all your homework and learn. It’s your responsibility to do well in school and get a good career. If you drop out of school it’s your responsibility. The second one is education. You’ll need your education for a job. Without an education you will not get a good job. The third one is school. In school you learn things you never knew. Graduating may give you a good future. I believe the challenges of my generation are to try your best, don’t give up on yourself, and help others. Finish your homework then games or TV. It’s your decision to do it. Not anyone else. Your future depends on you. Finish your homework then games or TV.

  23. I'm commenting on Kevin's because it really stood out to me. Because it also had a good word choice. But he also had some good points. For example he said ''No one is born being good at all things. Another one one of his statements was that if you want a good career you have to learns about it. And you have to go on the right path make the right decisions. it also is your responsibility to pass do well in school. It will do you good if you graduate you will have a good career and future. just being good at a sport won't do you nothing. You have to do good in other subjects too like math, art, science, english, etc. Another good thing I liked was that he said was that responsibility is an important word. Also your supposed to have a common interest. Like I have a common interest like me. Well I usually liking staying at cashier at my dads restaurant. I just like it but it seems boring but somehow fun.{sometimes} But one thing I didn't like about kevin's response it was that he only talks about responsibilities. Obama also said that you need an education to get a{n} career. And nothing like racism or money or how good you look will have to do anything with doing your H.W.And you can't drop out and just get a good career. So Education is very important in your life

  24. The thesis of President Obama's speech is that education is the key to our generation's future. In the speech President Obama talks about how without an education you are unlikely to succeed. Without an education you can not grow up to be a physician or a teacher or even a lawyer. To get any job at all you will have to work hard and study hard. He's telling you not to give up on school, but most importantly, don't give up on yourself. Getting an education isn't impossible, though it may be challenging at times. But at the end of the day when you're just getting home from your job, you're going to be happy that you didn't give up on getting an education, and that you definitely didn't give up on yourself. As Obama said: “You may be a great writer or even a great scientist that discovers a cure for cancer and AIDS, but you'll never know until you hand in that paper for English or complete that science experiment in class.” Your future is in your hands, and it's your choice about what you want to do with it. Nobody else but you controls your future and what you are to become one day.

Ranked from most to least important, the three most important words in this speech are education, future, and responsibility. Education is the most important word in this speech because it is what this speech is all about. President Obama talks about how important an education is, and how much it can affect your future. It is the key to a successful future. That brings me to the second most important word- future. Without an education, your future would most likely go down the drain. This is because any job that you will ever get offered or apply to expects its employees to have an education. You can't be an accountant without being
good at math. You can't be a newspaper publisher without knowing at least something about writing styles and English. And you most certainly can't be a physician without studying biology and the human body and everything about it. You and only you are responsible for your future. This leads me to the final most important word- responsibility. If you aren't responsible, you can't ever expect to get a job anywhere! You boss and co-workers need to know that when things get tough, you can handle the situation just as good as anyone else. President Obama stresses the importance of responsibility for ourselves and for our future.

In our generation, there are and will be many challenges to face. Some of the challenges are peer pressure, competition, and the economy. Peer pressure is when you are pressured into doing something that either you don't want to do, or you know is not right. Kids these days are getting peer pressured into doing drugs and smoking, and even cutting classes. All of which will ruin your future. Another challenge is competition. When I say this I mean that it's getting harder and harder to get into good schools. So many kids want to do good and they are willing to compete hard for it. A lot of kids don't get into the schools that they want, though. The cost of education is also rising. This makes it much harder for kids who want to go to college to be able to go. College is our last chance to discover what we want to do with our future. It's where you find out what job you want and what your good at. College is very important in one's life, but it does cost a lot of money and because of the economy lately, it getting harder and harder to pay for it.

In conclusion, President Obama's speech was a very important speech and one that our generation would be smart to take to heart. President Obama clearly cares very deeply about our generation and the future of our country and the world.
